Recommended routes:

• Row south, to the right as you face the sea. You will discover a series of maritime caves and stunning coves, such as Cala de la Herradura, Playa de Matalentisco, or Los Taráis. Further ahead, you will find Cala de las Tortugas and the famous Playa de Calarreona. We recommend bringing snorkeling goggles to appreciate the abundant marine life in this area.

• If you row in the opposite direction, to the north, crossing the port, you will find large beaches of white sand and turquoise blue water, such as the giant Playa de Poniente. If you keep going, you will come across the Castillo de San Juan de Águilas, with diving spots teeming with marine life.

• Crossing the Bahía de Levante, after the Castillo de San Juan de Águilas, you will find more rock formations ideal for snorkeling.

• The more adventurous can attempt to reach La Isla del Fraile, to the north (crossing the port, approximately 5 km). Along the way, you will pass countless points of interest, such as the aforementioned Castillo de San Juan de Águilas or Pico de la Aguilica.

It's important to know that...

• You need to take the weather into account: if it's very windy or there are waves, it's better to paddle in a protected area or postpone the activity, as it will be more difficult to return to your destination.

• At Puerto Deportivo Juan Montiel, there is a public parking lot next to the KAYAKOMAT.

• We have fresh water and a cart for transporting the kayaks. Information will be provided in the confirmation email.
