Enjoy a day out on Lake Sövde, with its beautiful green areas. Kayaking is a fun activity to do with friends and family. For beginners, it's easy to try kayaking and the kayaks are very stable. The minimum booking time is 2 hours, so beginners have plenty of time to learn how to paddle.

Kayaking is an excellent alternative to experiencing nature or taking a break during a hike. Renting a kayak from KAYAKOMAT is convenient and flexible because you book and unlock it completely digitally, anytime! At this KAYAKOMAT there is 4 solo kayaks and 2 tandem kayaks to choose from. Not Sup. (The beachkiosk has SUP.) Life jackets, paddles and kapell are in the kayaks.

Price from 298 SEK/2 h solo kayak and from 398 SEK/2 h for tandem kayak.

Local tips for paddling in Sövdesjön

• For an experienced paddler it takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes around the lake.
• Explore 2 rivers, Klingavälsån and Saxeån. Map is available at the kayak stand, in the boats and on our Facebook: Kayakomat Sövde.
• There are barbecue areas by the kayaks and over by Karup's boat launch/swimming area (straight ahead and to the right in the lake). You can also have a coffee with a table at Sövde fishing harbour.
• Visit Sövde Musteris farm shop (100 m away, next to the amphitheater).

Practical information at KAYAKOMAT Sövde badplats

• Parking spaces are available right next to the kayak vending machine, and there is also a larger parking area near the beach kiosk, 140 m away. (Free parking.) Toilets are also available there.
• There is a bus stop at the beach kiosk, served by regional bus 341.
• It's approximately 20 m to the water from the kayak vending machine, and you can enter directly from the beach or the dock.
• A life jacket is included, suitable for 40-130 kg. If you weigh less or more, you'll need to bring your own life jacket.
• Don’t forget to clean the kayak after your turn, for the comfort of the next customer, a cleaning fee may be added according to the bookingterms otherwise. (Sponges and clean water are available on site.
• Please avoid perfume, as it settles into the life jackets.

Group bookings

Paddling is a fun activity for team building, special occasions or group gatherings.

Tip! If you are up to 16 people, half of you can paddle to Karup's boat launch (straight ahead and to the right in the lake) where there are barbecue areas, and half can walk (there is a path) along the shore (about 30 minutes), meet up there and then swap kayaks with each other.
