Self-Serve Kayak and SUP rentals at KAYAKOMAT Thunder Lake Provincial Park and Campground
Price listed is for 2 hour minimum rentals on solo and tandem kayaks. GST is included in rates.
Come and explore Thunder Lake Provincial Park just west of Barrhead Alberta and get close to nature. A paddle on a kayak or SUP on this large lake never disappoints and is perfect for beginners. The lake has pelicans, herons, woodpeckers and the moose that frequent the north side of the lake, making this a perfect lake to get out and explore. You will get to see a variety of waterfowl as well as witness an active and vibrant aquatic ecosystem. Early mornings and evenings set the stage with glass-like water conditions for amazing sunsets and rises. This location also offers many other activities for you to enjoy such as camping, beaches, on-site store/food concessions, washrooms, walking paths, fishing and farmers markets on Saturdays.

- Enjoy food and ice cream at the concession stand in the park.
- Prepare to stay the whole day at the park and enjoy beaches and camping.
- Swimming is allowed.
