Local tips for paddling in Cher
- The banks of the Cher River in Larçay welcome families and visitors with a wide range of activities: skate park, boules pitches, ping-pong tables, and picnic areas. Throughout your walk, you can observe wading and water birds and admire the needle dam.
- Larçay offers a tourist circuit that will allow you to discover or rediscover architectural, historical or economic elements but also natural spaces.
- A 10-minute walk from the edge of the Cher, the Château de Nitray is a small treasure that can be visited. Producer of a good local wine, you can also conduct a tasting and fill your cellar.

- Access the station in about ten minutes from Tours or Veretz by car.
- You will find car parks around the Kayakomat.
- Access to the river is easily in front of the kayak and paddle station from where you will walk
- Wearing a life jacket and closed shoes are mandatory.
- Respect the regulations in force and follow the signs: disembark upstream of each dam and re-embark after it,
- The practice is prohibited for children under 16 years of age,
- Each user must be fully physically fit to independently practice a sporting activity in an aquatic environment, including being able to swim a length of 25 meters and being able to put their head underwater.
- During flood periods, navigation is prohibited, the station will not be bookable.
