For inexperienced paddlers, we recommend an excursion to Ciervo, Redonda and Sujeto islands, which are only accessible by water. More experienced paddlers can also visit the islands of Mayor and Perdiguera. Kayaking is a great alternative to exploring La Manga & the Mar Menor by bicycle or hiking. Local tips for paddling in La Manga – Isla de Ciervo
- La Isla del Ciervo is an island located in the middle of the Mar Menor, just over 100 meters from La Manga del Mar Menor. It is formed by two volcanic cones that rise up to 45 meters above the sea. The island has a 100 m long beach and is also very popular with kitesurfers.
- It is recommended to have a snack at the ZM restaurant - Deer Island - as it has direct access to the beach.
- Also within walking distance are Bohemia Plaza, with many small stores and cozy cafes, and Peke Park, a small amusement park for children with great attractions such as mini golf, boats, bouncy castles, trampolines and much more.
