On calm days, experienced paddlers can take a tour across the Müggelspree to Müggelsee, 4 kilometres away (approx. 1 hour). Paddle to the right through the bridge and discover swimming opportunities along the way. Kayaking is a unique alternative to explore the surroundings of Berlin in a new way.   • Bus and tram stop ‘Schloßplatz Köpenick’ and ‘Bahnhofstraße/Lindenstraße’ only a few minutes' walk away.
  • Parking is available in three large car parks, for example at Kirchstraße 5-6, 12555 Berlin.
  • If you should use the stairs to enter, watch out for the arriving and departing excursion steamers and let them pass. A few meters further on, you will find other entry points.

Local tips for paddling in Köpenick

  • Public jetty at the entrance to Müggelsee with toilets and bar to regenerate and refresh.
  • If you want to explore the waterway to the city center, paddle past Treptower Park to Elsenbrücke (about 3 hours, 11 km).
  • Start to the left and paddle on the Dahme to the legendary regatta course, which is still used for water sports competitions today (4.4 km, 1 hour).
  • Beer garden of the Standbad Wendenschloß (Dahme in the direction of the regatta course, left bank).
  • 2 day tour: old town Müggelsee Dämeritzsee Gosener Graben ! Seddinsee Dahme regatta course Altstadt Overnight accommodations by appointment at water sports clubs.

Book Online

Choose one of our options: single kayak, tandem kayak, or SUP. Rentals start at a minimum of 2 hours up to several days for longer adventures. You’ll receive a confirmation email with further instructions.

On the day of your booking, you will receive a code via email and SMS. Arrive at your KAYAKOMAT and unlock your gear. Inside you’ll find everything you need: PFD, paddles and sprayskirts. If it’s your first time out on the water, make sure you double check our safety tips.
