Skive Harbor by the Limfjord.
Rent a SUP or kayak at Skive Harbour, right next to the calm waters of Skive Bay, which is part of the Limfjord. If you are not experienced in kayaking or SUP, then there are really good conditions in protected water in Skive Bugt and with good casting it's easy to launch at the tow point right below the Kayakomat. If you are more experienced, you can paddle out of the bay, out into Lovns Bredning, and if the weather and current conditions are good, you may even be able to paddle all the way out into the Limfjord itself. Kayaking with friends, family or on your own in these waters is a peaceful experience, suitable for beginners and slightly experienced SUP and kayakers. A kayak trip in the waters of Skive Bugt offers plenty of experiences even if you stay close to the town and the coast and is at the same time a wonderful, alternative way to experience Skive. Renting a kayak or SUP in Skive Harbor is easy, cheap and always available at the unmanned rental point - KAYAKOMAT.
Local tips:
- Launch the kayak or SUP at the tow point right below the Kayakomat. Paddle inside the bay, close to shore with shallow water, if you are a beginner, and if the conditions are good, you may be able to paddle further into Lovns Bredning and further into the Limfjord itself.
- Be aware of other boaters in the harbor area and hold back from motorboats and sailboats.
Practical information:
- The KAYAKOMAT at Skive Harbor is located near good parking facilities, which are free.
- The KAYAKOMAT is centrally located by Skive Harbor with plenty of options for provisions for the trip as well as good toilet facilities.

On the day of your booking, you will receive a code via email and SMS. Arrive at your KAYAKOMAT and unlock your gear. Inside you’ll find everything you need: PFD, paddles and sprayskirts. If it’s your first time out on the water, make sure you double check our safety tips.
Time to paddle!
Now you’re ready to go! Enjoy your time out on the water, and be sure to tag us @kayakomat on social media. When your rental time is finished, return your equipment, check that everything is clean and lock it back up.
