it is easy to test kayaking, and at the same time stay close to the beach.
Kayakers with more experience can, on a calm day, paddle along delicious clean-cut rocky outcrops. You
those who have good experience with kayaking can take the trip for an ice cream in Stavern or Nevlunghavn.
Kayaking is an excellent alternative to being able to experience the coast and to be able to take a break from the coastal path.

Tips for your paddling in the Naverfjord:
- Paddle around the Naverfjord where you can discover the fjord from a different angle.
- Paddle around the rock cliffs towards Stavern and into Gumserød bay. There you can paddle around Gumserødøya and then back to Lydhusstranda. Time consumption of approx. 2 – 3 hours. Experienced
- Head into Stavern for an ice cream or lunch at one of the local outdoor restaurants. Day trip. Experienced
- Paddle towards Nevlunghavn, where there is also the possibility of refreshments or fine sunbathing spots on countless rocky outcrops. Day trip. Experienced
- Be aware that there may be areas exposed to weather and rough seas! Take precautions.
Practical information on KAYAKOMAT Lydhusstranda.
- You can park at the top of Hummerbakkveien. About 3 minutes' walk to KAYAKOMAT.
- Toilets can be used FREE of charge in the campsite's service building.
- From the bus stop to KAYAKOMAT approx. 7 minutes walk.
- Kayaks can be launched from the beach or jetty.
- There is a kiosk and restaurant at KAYAKOMAT.
