Tips for Your Paddling in Sundhammar:
- As a beginner, you can get acquainted with the kayak in shallow water before continuing out into the archipelago along the shoreline.
- For a nice weather-protected trip, you can paddle south past Vedhall and Fjällsholmen to Ryrskärsfjorden.
- As a more experienced kayaker, you can aim to head north and then turn west to the islands south of Klöverön. For example, Långö, Vaxholmen, and Vannholmarna.
- You can paddle in beautiful nature reserves and Natura 2000 areas, so show extra consideration. Leave nothing behind except footprints in the sand.
Practical Information for KAYAKOMAT Sundhammar:
- Park at Sundhammar’s beach parking, then it’s a short walk down to the bay, follow the signs.
- By public transport, take bus 313 from Kärna to Holmängen, followed by a walk of about 15 minutes.
- During the summer months, there are toilets and garbage bins further ahead by the beach.
- Show consideration and keep your distance from the swimmers, both on the beach and in the water.
