For beginner paddlers, it is possible to paddle to Gruissan and take a well-deserved break at the marina, where many restaurants welcome you for a meal. More experienced paddlers can explore the Bages-Sigean lagoon, where they can admire the preserved landscapes and the rich biodiversity, including many bird species such as flamingos on calm days.

Local tips for paddling in Narbonne

- Bus line 8 has a stop near the KAYAKOMAT. Several parking areas are available nearby, including a free parking lot at Karantes Beach.
- Public restrooms are available along the beaches.
- Sea access is directly from the beach.
- Check the weather conditions before setting out and ensure you return before nightfall. Be mindful of maritime traffic, especially around the port of Gruissan.
- Respect the local flora and fauna, and make sure to dispose of your waste in designated areas.
