Tips for Your Paddle in Bällstaviken, Johannesfred
- Plan your route based on wind and weather: The waters in Bällstaviken are usually calm, but it’s a good idea to check a weather app beforehand—especially if you're heading for longer routes like the Karlberg Canal or all the way to Drottningholm.
- Bring water and sun protection: The sun can be intense on the water! Pack a water bottle, sunscreen, and a cap—even for shorter trips.

- Portable toilets available from June 1 to August 31.
- Easy access by public transport: Light rail to Johannesfred or metro to Alvik.
- Bus 114 runs from Alvik’s square to Minneberg (approx. 11 minutes).
- Affordable car parking about 4 minutes’ walk from the beach (via EasyPark/Parkster).
- Please be mindful of swimmers – paddle calmly near the shore.
