Self-Service Kayak & SUP Rentals
We invite you to enjoy Ludvika from a new side, whether you have never paddled before or have plenty of experience, you are in for a treat! There are five interconnected lakes, where Väsman by Ludvika is the largest, which enables you to take anything from a leisurely 2 h tour around Bärholmarna up to a multi day tour of all five lakes which makes for 80 km of kayaking. You will experience great views of the tree-covered hills of southern Dalarna, further enhanced by the shape of the lakes, allowing you to feel like you are in the wilderness while still being at convenient distance from Ludvika. If you have not yet tried kayaking, it is a great way to relax mind and body, exercise or simply have fun with friends. If you are visiting from outside of Sweden, exploring Dalarna by Kayak is one of the best and most genuine ways of doing so.
Some proposed tours:
Iviken return - 2 km or 1 h (along the northern shore of Väsman, great for beginners while still giving great views)
Around Bärholmarna - 6 km or 2 h (great for exercise or picknicks, the northern island of Bärholmarna has great rocks)
Around Sollen - 13 km or 5 h (Wilderness feeling close to home)
Around Granön - 20 km or 6 h (Enjoy the beauty of southern Dalarna)

On the day of your booking, you will receive a code via email and SMS. Arrive at your KAYAKOMAT and unlock your gear. Inside you’ll find everything you need: PFD, paddles and sprayskirts. If it’s your first time out on the water, make sure you double check our safety tips.
Time to paddle!
Now you’re ready to go! Enjoy your time out on the water, and be sure to tag us @kayakomat on social media. When your rental time is finished, return your equipment, check that everything is clean and lock it back up.
