Self-service kayak and paddleboard rentals for solo or duo use
The Baggersee pond is a former gravel pit located 15 minutes from Strasbourg city center, making it an ideal spot for sports, swimming, or simply relaxing.
Whether you're alone, with family, or friends, this is the perfect place to spend quality time.
Kayaking and paddleboarding are accessible and fun activities for everyone, popular with friends and family. Beginners can easily try paddleboarding or kayaking by staying close to the shore. More experienced paddlers can discover a different side of the lake, exploring it in a different way and enjoying its scenery.
Thanks to the KAYAKOMAT self-service rental station, you can easily access kayaks and paddleboards at any time of day.

It can be reached by tram (Baggersee exit on lines A or E), on foot, by bike, or by car (plenty of parking nearby).

On the day of your booking, you will receive a code via email and SMS. Arrive at your KAYAKOMAT and unlock your gear. Inside you’ll find everything you need: PFD, paddles and sprayskirts. If it’s your first time out on the water, make sure you double check our safety tips.
Time to paddle!
Now you’re ready to go! Enjoy your time out on the water, and be sure to tag us @kayakomat on social media. When your rental time is finished, return your equipment, check that everything is clean and lock it back up.
