Who is it for?
For everyone. First-time kayakers will find stable sea kayaks that are easy to handle. More experienced paddlers will find sporty boats that are fun to paddle. In calm conditions, the Grömitz coastline offers relaxed tours for every level.
Our recommendation: book at least 2 hours. That gives you enough time to get set up, get comfortable on the water and really enjoy the experience. A 1-hour option is also available.
Four tours worth trying
🛶 Towards Lensterstrand
North of Grömitz, the coastline becomes more natural and unspoilt. Dunes, fewer people and a slower pace. A great choice for anyone wanting to leave the busy bathing beach behind.
🛶 To the lock at Lensterstrand
A beautiful route for anyone who would like to paddle a bit farther. The destination lies in a natural beach area – quiet, open and well worth the trip.
🛶 To the pier
Paddle towards the pier and see Grömitz from the sea side. The promenade, the seaside resort and the beach chairs all look completely different from a kayak.
🛶 Sunset evening tour
The atmosphere on the water just before sunset is hard to describe. Best experienced for yourself. Just make sure you return in good time before it gets dark.
Where can you find us?
Our station is located at the beach chair rental by the beach access in the “Stern” beach section, near Café LYS. Free toilets and showers are available within less than 50 metres. The large car park on Deichweg is only a short walk away.
Paddling as a group
Birthday, team outing, family gathering or a special day with friends – paddling in Grömitz is an activity that brings people together. Booking online via KAYAKOMAT is quick and easy. For individual group requests, we are happy to help personally.
Important information
Only paddle in conditions that match your ability. Stay close to the shore, respect swimming zones, watch out for other water users and keep an eye on the weather. A healthy respect for the Baltic Sea makes the whole trip even better.

On the day of your booking, you will receive a code via email and SMS. Arrive at your KAYAKOMAT and unlock your gear. Inside you’ll find everything you need: PFD, paddles and sprayskirts. If it’s your first time out on the water, make sure you double check our safety tips.
