The station is located right by the water with direct launch on a floating pier.
Trip tips
From here it is perfect to paddle westward into the beautiful Hankøsundet where you can reach the most beautiful small bathing spots well sheltered from the wind no matter which way it blows.
Here you paddle past Hankøsund Restaurant (search on Tripadvisor), past Hankø sailing association, Hankø hotel, old Kongehytten, Joker grocery store and more..
This is a safe trip if there is a little wind.
You can also paddle a little south into the beautiful Herviksundet and around the entire island of Skjærhallen and Pølseskjær, and back to the vending machine. This is a cozy little trip where there is a lot of bird life. Maybe you will spot some 🦌 along the shore.

On the day of your booking, you will receive a code via email and SMS. Arrive at your KAYAKOMAT and unlock your gear. Inside you’ll find everything you need: PFD, paddles and sprayskirts. If it’s your first time out on the water, make sure you double check our safety tips.

Now you’re ready to go! Enjoy your time out on the water, and be sure to tag us @kayakomat on social media. When your rental time is finished, return your equipment, check that everything is clean and lock it back up.
