Welcome to the heart of the Gironde Estuary in Charente-Maritime! Located between Royan and Meschers-sur-Gironde, the Saint-Georges-de-Didonne KAYAKOMAT station allows you to rent kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards on a self-service basis, 7 days a week.
Admire the beauty of the estuary from your boat, cruise along the large beach at Saint-Georges-de-Didonne, or head towards Royan! Whether you want to paddle leisurely along the coast or enjoy a more energetic outing, there is a route to suit every pace.
We highly recommend the routes to the right of the channel, heading towards Saint-Georges-de-Didonne.
We advise against paddling to the left of the channel, as there are rocks and currents depending on the tides.
Upon your return, extend the relaxation by enjoying the beach, restaurants, and seafront campsites.
Thanks to the self-service KAYAKOMAT station in Saint-Georges-de-Didonne, you can enjoy an activity accessible to everyone—whether with family, friends, or as a couple. Paddles and life jackets are provided; all that’s left is to hop aboard and explore the remarkable landscapes of the Gironde Estuary.

On the day of your booking, you will receive a code via email and SMS. Arrive at your KAYAKOMAT and unlock your gear. Inside you’ll find everything you need: PFD, paddles and sprayskirts. If it’s your first time out on the water, make sure you double check our safety tips.
Time to paddle!
Now you’re ready to go! Enjoy your time out on the water, and be sure to tag us @kayakomat on social media. When your rental time is finished, return your equipment, check that everything is clean and lock it back up.
