Local tips for paddling in Gränna

• Take a trip south to Röttle harbour, where you smoothly can step in and out of your kayak. Seize the moment to experience the waterfall only 350 meters up the hill or just walk around the idyllic village.
• If you continue past Röttle harbor, you have the entire Västanåleden that runs along Lake Vättern a few kilometers, take the opportunity to just explore and stop at a suitable place and enjoy the peace and beautiful surroundings.
• If you instead choose to paddle north, you will find the well-known Brahehus castle ruins but also the Girabäcken nature reserve, which is well worth a visit.
• If it's windy and there are a lot of waves on Lake Vättern, it's perfectly fine to paddle inside the "lagoon" where there are almost never any waves.

Practical information at KAYAKOMAT Gränna

• You will find the largest car park on the left side of Amiralsvägen down towards Gränna harbour. Free parking is available at Ribbahallen near the football fields.
• Launching is recommended on the small beach south of the lagoon.
• Toilets are found about 250 metres away, behind the big stage in Gränna harbour.
• If you want to paddle up north, remember to watch out for the Visingsö ferry, as well as other larger boats when you pass through Gränna harbor.
• Always use common sense and prefer the safe before the unsafe in all situations when out paddling.
