Kayak and SUP rental at KAYAKOMAT Gävle Limöbåten
Rent SUP and kayaks in central Gävle, next to where the ferry to Limö departs, and enjoy a cruise on Gavleån. Kayaking is a very peaceful and fun activity, best enjoyed together with friends and family in Gavleån in central Gävle. Beginners can here comfortably try both SUP and kayaking in Aldersholmskanalen, while still being close to docks and piers. For those of you with more experience and on a calm day you can paddle out to sea along the coast line to Engeltofta or Brädviken.
Local tips for paddling in Gävle
- Paddle out to Ängeltofta for some good food and stop at the beach.
- Explore the canal by Alderholmen if you want the adventure to be as calm as possible.

- Launching is done from a floating bridge close by.
- Parking is available at Limöbåten, near the KAYAKOMAT.
- 15 minutes walking distance from Gävle Central Station along the water.

On the day of your booking, you will receive a code via email and SMS. Arrive at your KAYAKOMAT and unlock your gear. Inside you’ll find everything you need: PFD, paddles and sprayskirts. If it’s your first time out on the water, make sure you double check our safety tips.
TIME TO PADDLE!
Now you’re ready to go! Enjoy your time out on the water, and be sure to tag us @kayakomat on social media. When your rental time is finished, return your equipment, check that everything is clean and lock it back up.
