Kayaking and stand up paddling (SUP) is a very peaceful and fun activity, best be enjoyed together with friends and family. Beginners can here comfortably try both SUP and kayaking, while still being close to shore and in shallow water. For those who are more experienced paddlers there are a lot of places to explore around Lake Siljan and on the slow river Enån. Renting SUP and kayaks in Rättvik provides a great way to explore this part of Dalarna, and you may reach many places that are hard to access by biking or hiking. Local tips for paddling on Lake Siljan:
- Paddle around the church and further down to beautiful Persborg brygga. About 20 min to get there.
- A little longer trip; go all the way to Vikarbyn, visit Restaurant Sjöapan in the marina. (not open every day)
- Paddle around the long bridge and into the river Enån. After around 1 hour you will reach a beautiful café on Wiborgs Holme, open hours 10-18 Wednesday-Sunday 21 June - 20 August.
Praktical information KAYAKOMAT Rättvik:
- KAYAKOMAT Rättvik is located at the camping site First Camp Rättvik Siljansbadet. Facilities such as restaurant, restrooms, kiosk and beach are also available.
- Please return the kayak clean for the next guests.
- Leave lifejacket and cover in the seat so it can dry.
