Local tips for paddling in Mariefred
- Paddling around Gripsholms castle; a well known castle with lots of history and scenery.
- Stop for ice cream at the Hamnkafé, a café with a beach and a view of Gripsholms castle. Here you can eat something or just take a break.
- There are several small and large islands on the lake Mälaren in Mariefred where you are welcome to have a picnic, swim or take a break.
Practical information at KAYAKOMAT Mariefred
- There is a small parking right next to the kayakomat, and a larger one 100 away at Rådhustorget 1.
- There is a public toilet on Munkhagsgatan 1 (not far from the parking lot), suitable for both welchairs and children.
- The Kayakomat is located right by a small beach with a dock which you can enter with your SUP/Kayak. You are not allowed to dive from this dock.
- The closest busstation to the Kayakomat is on Slottsträdgärdsgatan (ca 300m away) and the closest train station is Läggesta (4km away)
